Castel Beseno, the largest hilltop castle in Trentino, sits atop a hill overlooking the Adige Valley and the Rio Cavallo Valley. The Ciclovia della Valle dell'Adige cycle path offers a beautiful view of the castle's mighty walls and towers, which blend majestically into the surrounding landscape. The fortress's origins date back to the 12th century, and it played a significant role during the Battle of Calliano in 1487, among other events. Today, Castel Beseno is an important cultural monument and a popular destination for cyclists and nature lovers who enjoy the combination of historic architecture, verdant river landscapes, and vineyards.

The sculptures stand along the bike path in Lizzana and depict metal cyclists in dynamic poses. They were created by Swiss artist Andrea Malär and appear to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.
