Lovely ride - mostly quiet roads and tracks... Bath Arms good place to stop for a coffee. Good lunch in the White Hart after the ride.

Smooth surface climb at a steady gradient, very nice.

Shear Water is an artificial lake created as part of the Longleat Estate. It's filled by a tributary of the River Wylye. It's a popular fishing destination.

This is a lovely cycle path that weaves through towering woodlands shared with Center Parcs. There are plenty of connecting trails here that allow you to explore the woods further.

This small footbridge over the Wylye connects Henfords Marsh with Eastleigh Wood Lane. It's likely that there has been a crossing of sorts here for a long time, although it may have been a muddy ford rather than a bridge.

Stunning, nice gently rolling gravel road with climb and descent options. If approaching from the east or the west (i.e. trying to stay on the hill to connect to Grovelly or Monkton Deverill) please be aware that the byways entering are not so much fun as the wood itself.

Who says England doesn't have gravel? (just ignore the Pertwood section). Sherrington wood/Great Ridge is a bit lifeless compared to Grovelly wood over the way, but offers a more durable surface to spin through.

Worth it for the road through Great Ridge but ultimately this isn't great riding. No alternative though so enjoy the mouthful of flies.

Found it a challenge coming up on 40mm tyres E-W, but the descent is a treat. If you've got skinnier tyres or there's been a lot of rain the track directly parallel holds up better in rain.

Had incident again today in the woods at Shearwater ... Welcome cyclists please remember that it’s actually the law they give way to pedestrians & not tell people walking to ‘get out of the way or shout coming through’

A cool way to throw in some distance. Amenable gravel riding with shelter from the sun on a hot day

Great Ridge is alway a good one to loop into a ride and is rideable (pretty much) all year round

Longleat House drive is a stately way to arrive at the house and a great road to ride. The house and surrounding safari park are paid entry but there is access via this road and several others through the estate.

17000 feet above this stone British Aircraft Corporation One-Eleven prototype airliner G-ASHG was on its fifth stalling test of the day. The aircraft entered a "deep stall" but never recovered sufficient flying speed. It crashed here 23 minutes after takeoff from Wisley Airfield. All on board were killed.

Nice run down to the house. Watch out for cross wind on windy days

Majority are nice and a good surface. Easily ridable on a gravel bike in the dry - has the potential to be a bit muddy and boggy in the wet. Enjoyable and spectacular nonetheless.

Same as above - there is a cafe, but attempt to use it at your own risk. They allowed us to buy a coffee, but promptly asked to move on immediately after. Coffee is mediocre anyway...

Made me fall back in love with singletrack!
