Recommendation only conditionally. The path is paved from Bredenfelde onwards, with about a third being asphalt. However, both surfaces are in rather deplorable condition. Many uneven areas, potholes, etc. Barely suitable for leisurely driving.

Make no mistake. The view of the lake really isn't that great, as it's much too far from the spot with the bench. But the scenery is definitely magnificent. Once you've really got going on the very hilly bike path, it's easy to miss the opportunity to look out and can't or don't want to slow down. You're also quite busy with the constant cobblestone sections!

While there are hardly any views of the lakes, you could easily make a detour, for example, to the Luzin ferry landing or to the Devil's Stone (on the other side). What's annoying about the path itself are several cobblestone breaks. These chicanes are pretty stupid, probably just a misunderstanding of monument preservation.

The trail is easily doable by bike. There are small cobblestone sections. The views are fantastic.

Up to this point, it's been a very nice hike. The next section leads along the L342. In my opinion, it's dangerous and unpleasant. An alternative route should really be provided. Hiking along a country road like this is annoying.

Very beautiful fieldstone church with a brick tower. In the past, churches had to be defensive. Today, the church defends itself against the influence of the Reich citizens.

You should take your time in Lychen, otherwise you won't be able to see all the beautiful corners.

Here on the west bank you are standing right on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and looking at the Great Lake, which is also known as “Wahrensee” or “Greater Wahrensee”. A large lawn with sun and shade areas invites you to take a break. Water lovers will also get their money's worth here, as the wide natural swimming area has wide, shallow access to the water. Thanks to the café, bakery and ice cream parlor, which are located in the immediate vicinity, your physical well-being is also taken care of. All in all a nice place where you can linger for a while.

Very nice view of Lake Mellensee! Just stop for a moment and capture the beautiful perspectives of the lake.

The journey from Feldberg is tough, but also easy to do. The effort is worth it, the landscape is beautiful. The view of both lakes is brilliant, something you rarely find like this. Definitely worth it as a destination for a tour; stopping at the Old Customs House is a must. Simply recommended.
