The modern, spacious hiking lodge was built between 1972 and 1975 by the Eningen unter Achalm local group under the leadership of its chairman, Hans Schenk, not far from the Swabian Alb North Rim Trail and close to the Albtrauf ridge. The hiking lodge is situated in a diverse landscape on the Alb plateau, with forests, meadows, and tree-lined avenues. A barbecue area and playground were set up directly next to the hiking lodge. A game reserve and a large playground with several barbecue areas are nearby.

Teck Castle sits enthroned at an altitude of 773 meters on the Albtrauf of the Swabian Alb. The Swabian Alb Association runs a restaurant and a hostel here - the ideal place to take a relaxing break with a great view during your tour.

There are also overnight accommodations here (30 beds). This is a good opportunity, especially for school classes, to use the hut as a school camp, for example.

I was there shortly after 11 a.m. (11 a.m. opens) and immediately got a highly recommended cappuccino at a reasonable price. Very nicely located and even when it rains (like today) there are seating options under umbrellas. Definitely recommended as a break!

Coming from the Urach Waterfalls to the romantic view from the sloping slide rock. Recently there was a musical interlude from people standing in a circle there - somewhat mysterious.

Refreshments with "honest cuisine", as the boss himself says. We just think it's delicious. There is a daily meal that is simple but well cooked with fresh ingredients. Today we had delicious vegetable soup from the enamel pot. There is also always sausage salad, Maultaschen, etc. We like to come here.

The Eninger Weide hiking lodge offers hikers and day-trippers the opportunity to rest, stop off and stay overnight. It has a guest room for around 70 guests and a lounge for smaller meetings for around 30 people. The 37 beds/camps can be booked as a stopover for hikes or for school classes and groups for the weekend.
