You can spend the whole day here. Bathing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, and of course, mountain biking :-)

The parking lot was relatively full, as there's so much to do at this hotspot. A swimming lake, a barbecue hut with restrooms, and a shower house. The mountain bike trail, and so on... Parking is permitted on the shoulder of the main road in both directions, which was very convenient for us with our Sprinter van.

Østre Søbad at Almindsø near Silkeborg is one of Denmark's cleanest lakes. Here are two round, impressive bathing jetties right next to each other with a children's pool and facilities such as changing rooms, lovely benches, toilets and a sauna.

Cute cargo bike bakery with the best cinnamon rolls, and a bike friendly coffee shop across the road. Perfect spot for a pause!

Rye is a charming Danish town surrounded by stunning nature, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Located near the beautiful Lake Mossø and Himmelbjerget, one of Denmark's highest points, it offers great cycling, hiking, and kayaking opportunities. Don't miss the cosy cafés and local bakeries for a well-deserved break.
