A very beautiful lake in the Tannheimer Valley. The lake can also be easily circumnavigated (the entry point is somewhat hidden on an inconspicuous road). However, the asphalt quickly turns into a fine gravel path. Doable for road bikes with careful riding – a Strade Bianche feeling.

The Tannheimer Valley is a high valley located approximately 1,100 meters above sea level in the Tannheimer Mountains, part of the Allgäu Alps in the Tyrolean district of Reutte. When I'm in Haldensee, I feel a surge of ❤️. The valley is simply beautiful💯👍

A short, narrow section with good surface. Fun to ride. Also easy to navigate with a gravel bike and 33-inch tires.

The stunning landscape behind Lake Vilsalpsee is breathtaking. A detour to the waterfall behind the Vilsalpe (approx. 30-40 minutes) is worthwhile.

One of the most beautiful bike paths I know leads through the Tannheimer Valley... great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and a very pleasant ride...

The cycle route south of Lake Halden is highly recommended: away from car traffic and in the middle of nature!
