Warmia - a land of roadside shrines and crosses.

The New Mill Chapel is a little gem in the middle of the forest. The red brick literally shines between the old trees and gives the impression that time has taken a short break here. The neo-Gothic architecture gives the chapel a special aura that stands out from the surrounding nature and yet blends perfectly into the landscape. As you get closer, the wrought iron cross on the roof catches your eye and the decorated windows reveal a hint of the past. The history of the chapel is closely linked to the old mill that stood nearby and once determined life in this remote corner. Today, only the old walls and the quiet atmosphere remind you of the past. The path here leads through a dense forest and the hike to the chapel is an experience in itself. The gentle rustling of the leaves and the crunching of the forest floor under your feet accompany you until you suddenly stand in front of the chapel - a moment that invites you to pause.

You can park your car safely in the parking lot on the side of Leśna Street. A walk around the lake takes about 1 hour. I recommend it at any time of year.

There is more shade than sun here, so I recommend it for cyclists ;)
