After World War I, under the Treaty of Versailles, Trzciel was divided into two parts. The eastern part belonged to Poland, while the western part, called Tirschtiegel, was already in Germany. The border divided plots and houses. An example of this artificial division is Albert Konopka's wickerworks, which had a border barrier – the residential part was in Germany, and the factory in Poland.

There is no bridge there. There is a ford to cross. In August it was almost knee-deep 🙂

A late Renaissance manor house from the 18th century, which also included farm buildings. Until the partitions, the rectory was the seat of local parish priests, and later it served as the summer residence of Poznań bishops. Currently, it is again the rectory of the local church.

A historic residential building from the second half of the 18th century, built of wood on a high stone foundation. The Shoemaker's House stands out from other buildings on the Pszczew market square with its shape and proportions determined by a slender roof covered with shingles, which is 2/3 of the height of the building. It was inhabited by the shoemaker Feliks Paździorek. Since 1984, the building has housed a museum.

Green market in the center of the town. Pszczew used to be a town and that's why it has a market square. It lost its city rights in 1945.

When the temperatures are reasonably warm you can cross barefoot, otherwise your feet will get wet.

The St. Adalbert parish church was built around 1825 in the neo-Gothic style.
