There's a campsite and others in the area, and of course, small hotels or guesthouses – Swiss hospitality! You'll meet many enduro mountain bikers here. In the middle of Rue du Bourg, in the historic town center of Sierre, the Sainte-Catherine church forms one of the most expressive Baroque architectural ensembles in Valais. The Notre-Dame des Marais church having become too cramped for the Sierrais, the Sainte-Catherine church was built in the 17th century. The most important piece of furniture in the church is the high altar, inspired by that of Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. The choir vault has a stucco decoration consisting of a cartouche (sculptural ornament in the shape of a half-rolled map) with Saint Catherine in the middle. The church was restored between 1991 and 1996.
