Lovely gravel path, whole route off road.

The waterfall of the little fawn is hidden in the forest but easily reached on the cycle route. Expect to see the fall flowing all year round.

An impressive museum ship, which unfortunately (for whatever reason) wasn't open when we were there... We were able to learn a bit about the ship's history and story using the information boards.

Lovely riverside path to make fairly quick progress between Balloch on Glasgow.

The ruined remains of Lennox Castle. Originally built in ~1840 as a private property it was sold to The Glasgow Corporation (predecessor to the City Council) in 1927 and turned into a hospital for those with learning difficulties. In the 1940's-60's it also operated as a maternity home, and was the birth place of singer Lulu. It closed in 2002 and unfortunately was subject to a fire in 2008 which left it in its current state.

Hungryside Bridge is a lifting bridge carrying Torrance Road over the Forth and Clyde Canal.

The Tall Ship Glenlee was built in Glasgow in 1896. She served as British cargo vessel, an Italian ship of mystery, to a sail training icon of the Spanish Navy. She returned to Glasgow in 1993 and is now a museum, event venue and visitor attraction.

This is a great road to start exploring the rich variety of cycling routes around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs area. The road is very quiet and rarely sees cars, so you can just relax and enjoy the scenery of this stunning national park.

Balloch is known as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It's well-connected to Glasgow by train, making it a popular destination for a day trip. There are a nice selection of shops and places to eat, activity providers and the restored paddle steamer, Maid of the Loch, is moored here.
