The hiking and cycling path runs in a straight line alongside the Iller River. The path is gravelled and grassy in the middle. Alongside the cycle path, you can see the floodplain forest. Between the Iller River and the cycle path, there is a grassy strip about 3 meters wide. Wildlife can probably be spotted here frequently, as there is a hunting lodge in between. At least the fish were also taken into consideration at the weir. A fish ladder is located along the edge.

Unfortunately a boring section

Easily rideable without any special equipment. A wonderful bike path to enjoy.

Ulm Old Town who has never seen it I would do it again👍🏽

The Iller is always worth a detour. The entire Iller cycle path is highly recommended.

The weir upstream is being redesigned, and there will be quiet riverside areas with swimming spots. This could be completed by 2025. There is still a bicycle diversion sign in the direction of Heimertingen.

We did not look at

Ulm is definitely worth a visit. There is a lot to see and marvel at. My tip: plan a clockwise walk through the old town and plan all the red hiking highlights. That's what we did and we were able to see and discover a lot. You can park your bike in many places, e.g. in front of the city library. There's no point in pushing your bike in the old town.
