As a special refreshment and delight for all visitors to the spa park, both humans and insects, tubers and bulbs were planted last fall, thus attractively enhancing another area. This complements the flower meadow established in 2003 in the immediate vicinity.

This section of the cycle path is perfect for a relaxing bike ride. You'll cycle through the picturesque Wakenitz lowlands, past lush vegetation and tranquil bodies of water. Views of the Wakenitz River, glistening in the sun and providing an idyllic backdrop, open up again and again.

The square is called "Schöne Aussicht" and lives up to its name, because from here you really do have the very best views across the Domsee to the Ratzeburg Cathedral and the district museum and the Paul Weber Museum are also clearly visible from here. From the Domsee it is a steep climb up to here, but it is worth it and then it goes downhill again. 😉

The Ratzeburg Cathedral stands in an elevated position on the western shore of the Domsee and can be seen from all directions, even from a distance. Here, directly opposite the eastern shore of the Domsee, you have some of the best views of the cathedral across the lake.
