Nice place for a coffee break.

One of the few cafés that's also open on Mondays! There's a small lunch menu (12-3 p.m.) with things like schnitzel or currywurst; otherwise, they serve coffee and cake. I passed the time waiting by paying an extra €5 to walk through the amazingly large garden (children under 12 would have been free). That seemed like a steep price at first, but the garden is beautiful, blooming, and buzzing with life. I was pretty impressed and thought it was definitely worth the entrance fee. There's a playground for the little ones, grandma and grandpa can easily navigate the paths with their walkers, and there are plenty of benches. There are also lots of carved animals to discover – really lovely, so I didn't mind the not-so-great cake 😁

Remote, quiet, nature is left to its own devices here. Getting off your bike is definitely worth it.

Better to use the path on the side.

It is particularly beautiful when you stand on the former railway line and can hear the sound of the Gifhorn-Uelzen line. It is as if a ghost train were arriving.
