The town hall was inaugurated in 1897. It is considered "unfinished" because it could not be built as planned with two wings, with an entrance and tower in the center. The owner of the house to the right of the town hall did not want to sell his house at the time.

In addition to the town centre around the market square, you will find the town hall from 1897, the Adlerapotheke (around 1700), the town church of St. Christopher, first mentioned in 1206, with the oldest Protestant parsonage in eastern Germany (1581) and behind it the moated castle from the 13th century with significant conversions to a Renaissance castle in the 16th century.
