Kröv, idyllically situated on a bend in the Moselle River, has been an important wine-growing town for centuries. The steep vineyards characterize the landscape and are ideal for growing the Riesling grape, which made Kröv famous. Monks systematically cultivated wine here as early as the Middle Ages, but the town gained worldwide fame through its cult wine 'Kröver Nacktarsch,' which is particularly prized for its quality and unique tradition. Visitors to Kröv experience winemaking history, the romanticism of the Moselle River, and the close connection between landscape and culture all in one.

Coming from Bernkadtel-Kues, the path climbs steeply, mostly on cobblestones. But the view is amazing!

From here, you can enjoy the view of Bernkastel-Kues. From Traben-Trarbach, you can reach this point directly over the mountain, passing under the B50 highway. However, if you head towards Traben-Trarbach from here, you can take the downhill sections, which are almost trail-like, at a more relaxed pace.

The Bridge Gate of Traben-Trarbach on the Moselle River is the town's landmark and stands on the southern bank of the Moselle Bridge. Designed by Bruno Möhring as a decorative bridge closure, it has housed a café-restaurant since its construction. In the 1960s, a renovation added a gallery with temporary exhibitions. Pleiner Tunnel - Hasborn–Wittlich Directly after the former Plein train station, approximately 5 km beyond Hasborn, the cycle path leads through the 585-meter-long Pleiner Tunnel. It then continues downhill through deciduous and mixed forests to Wittlich. From the rather rugged Volcanic Eifel, the cycle path descends into the Wittlich Valley. The route passes vineyards and leads into the town of Wittlich.
