The Nonnweiler Dam is the largest drinking water reservoir in Saarland and a popular tourist destination. A beautiful circular trail leads directly along the water, offering magnificent views of the reservoir. Especially in summer, the tranquil surroundings invite you to relax and enjoy nature. The clear water and the dense forests surrounding it make this place unique.

This is one of the three "pleasure stations" along the trail. Soft drinks, beer, and wine can be purchased from the refrigerator on a trust basis. The tower is the only one that can be climbed; the rest of the building houses the forestry office.

The track removal began on the route in March 2000 and today cyclists travel along it. The Bierfeld Tunnel is 260 meters long and: it is illuminated! Nothing stands in the way of cycling fun.
