This cycle path is part of the Geopark Railway Cycle Path. The Rennerod-Herborn section partially follows the former Westerwald-Querbahn and is around 28.3 km long. From the Westerwaldquerbahn cycle path you have a fantastic view over the fields to the Krombach Dam and the Krombach Reservoir. The dam is the highest point in a chain of five hydroelectric power stations. The lake itself offers water sports enthusiasts many opportunities, such as sailing, surfing and of course swimming.
