A very beautiful spot in the middle of the forest. The shelter with its bench is lovingly decorated. You can write in a little book if you want to. It's also very quiet here. Great.

Well, what can I say about the cycle path along the canal? When the canal was built in the late 60s to the late 70s, there were numerous protests (nature is being destroyed, too much habitat would be destroyed, too many animals would lose "their home") The opposite has happened - there are a huge number of fish in the canal, various insects are swarming around the edges, even the beaver has settled again in Baiersdorf (although not on the canal, but a little further on at the Baiersdorf quarry lake). The anglers are happy with the canal, The cycle path along the canal is used a lot as a destination for excursions, jogging, cycling, running, etc. ---> I see this as an absolute PLUS.

Franconians don't speak "haddes T" but it is still a pond farmer (pond = artificially created body of water for fish farming); we Franconians have nothing to do with dikes like those that can be admired on the North Sea.
