This chapel is not simply dedicated to the Virgin Mary, but often has additional titles that dedicate it to a church festival such as her "Immaculate Conception", birth or ascension. The patronage here, however, has a special addition: of the rosary. This refers to a prayer that was very popular in popular piety in earlier times and is still practiced today in many parishes and private households - at least by the older generation. It is particularly popular on pilgrimages on foot, for example, because the repetition of the individual sentences by the prayer leader and the response of the praying people easily creates a meditative atmosphere.

Very beautiful up there. The trail is easy to ride from both sides :-)

Wonderful chapel on the way to Lattenalm. The chapel is dedicated to Saint Mary.

Rustic hut to stop off at. When there is deep snow, only the direct hiking trail to Lattenalm and Bichelalm is cleared; unfortunately, connecting paths to Juns, such as the Junser Höhenweg, are not.

Nice little chapel on the Rosary Way. The rosary path leads from Lanersbach along the footpath to the hamlet of Gemais. The Rosary Chapel was built there in 2012-2013 and consecrated to the Holy Mother of God on June 8th, 2013.
