A very pleasant, not particularly challenging hike through vineyards and forest. A great tour even in January. Refreshments are available at the Rietania Hut and the Sesel Inn.

This artwork, entitled "To See Beyond," is part of the "St. Martin Art Trail" and dates from 2023. "London-based artist Tim Norris draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape and, wherever possible, uses local natural materials in combination with constructed elements. A harmonious symbiosis of landscape and art, the work invites viewers to enjoy the expansive view across the Rhine plain. It consists of an inner layer of stretched canvas, which provides shelter and shade for the person sitting on it, while the outer layer of local vine tendrils alludes to the surrounding wine region. 'To See Beyond' can be interpreted as 'seeing beyond the horizon.' This can be seen as referring to the view across the Rhine plain or, philosophically, as the perspective from the present into the future." Ms. Fath is, of course, right: That's the Jungfernsprung in Dahn! Lug, and thus also the Luger Geiersteine, are 29 km away from the Jungfernsprung by car, 13 km by bike, and 11.5 km on foot, and are also located in a different municipality.
