This well-maintained trail begins with a gradual 250-foot ascent to the falls. The path levels out before the last 1/2 mile, where you get a nice incline before reaching the falls at 1,050 feet. In the spring, rhododendrons bloom, adding a splash of color and beauty to the surrounding green forest.

This beautiful and relatively unknown waterfall is 130 feet of roaring plunging water nestled in the middle of the lush green forest. If you visit during spring, you will see an added bonus of pink bursts of flowers blooming near the tiered falls.

The falls are the reasons why this trail is the most popular one in the Ueland Tree Farm area. There is a bridge and viewing area to admire them.

Follow the creek to see series of small waterfalls.

Take a little detour before you start the hike up to the pristine Mildred Lakes and follow the road from the parking lot to Hamma Hamma River that you just crossed. At this location, the river roars into the ravine as a spectacular waterfall.

If you enjoy solitude and some adventure, this is the hike for you. The trail up to Mildred Lake was established by fishermen and hikers, but never officially constructed. Since it is not maintained, you will need to have some route finding skills as well as a good stamina for this challenging hike. Once you are up at the lakes, take a long break to enjoy the pristine nature.
