Since the tunnel on the Grimsel Pass road is only accessible by bike downhill, you'll have to take the old pass road. However, it's not a must, as the path, part of which is cobblestone, is much more beautiful and spectacular anyway.

On the way up to the Susten at the Sustenbrüggli car park opposite on the right (before the restaurant of the same name), there is the stone hut of the Alpine Club. There is a tap with a fountain, and that is worth its weight in gold!
