Many cyclists will likely just ride past such a small, sacred monument as this one, situated by the roadside, without paying much attention to the depiction of the cross. But from my – admittedly purely subjective – point of view, the crucifix, which shows us the crucified Christ above a red sandstone base, certainly deserves a short pause along the way. A bench is available.

Update November 2024: This point will be the entry point to the Klingentrails, which are currently under construction. The project is operated by Forst BW and built by trail sponsors from DAV Ulm, SSV 1846, and the local DIMB IG with community support. The trails will hopefully be finished and signposted by spring 2025. Please don't rush into it and undo the work. If you want to get involved, just look under the hashtag Klingentrails on Instagram, where construction dates will be announced (many hands make light work). UPDATE March 2025: A PLEASE to the illegal SUR-RON riders: These are lovingly built and not yet finished MTB trails that are OFFICIAL and are being created in cooperation with Forst BW. With your actions, you are not only destroying the volunteer work but also a project. Your mopeds are not pedelecs, but e-bikes, aka electric motorcycles. There are wonderful official motocross tracks in the area, please ride them. If you know someone this applies to, please feel free to pass this on.
