Beautiful descent to Jühnde, but be careful when it's wet! The potential for falls, especially at the Tour d'Energie, is there.

Only a few remains of the wall remain. The Brackenburg was probably built in the late 13th/early 14th century. 1411 and 1486 siege by troops from Göttingen. Deserted since 1583 at the latest (probably as early as the middle of the 16th century or earlier). The road Göttingen-Jühnde-Wiershausen-Hann runs along the slope of the Brackenberg. Münden (or Hedemünden), which certainly contributed significantly to the construction of the castle at this point. It may have been used to collect tolls or something similar.

At 493 m, the Hohe Hagen is the highest mountain in southern Lower Saxony. Like many mountains in the area, it is of volcanic origin and consists of basalt rock. The mountain became known through the land surveying by C. F. Gauß, which he began on the Hohe Hagen. The economic use of the basalt rock resulted in a conflict with the Gauss Tower, the Gauss Tower, which was erected at its highest point in 1911.

Wonderful climb with three ramps. Always part of the Tour d'Energie. The descent to Jühnde and towards Mariengarten is worth the effort.

Here is the highest point of the Staufenberg at 472m. I did not find a direct path here, I walked cross-country. But there was also a lot of snow. From up here you have no special view. There is only one stone to admire.
