Lake Bernstein is a dream. Especially at sunset.

The 9.5 hectare and up to 16 meter deep BernsteinSee is located in Sassenburg-Stüde near Gifhorn on a traffic-calmed private site directly on the Elbe Lateral Canal in a picturesque forest, heath and moor landscape. The lake has a large bathing beach with fine-grained sand. It offers very clear water all year round and is a particularly clean body of water according to regular official tests. The lake water shimmers turquoise because of the sandy bottom. Showers, toilets and beach ashtrays are available free of charge for bathers. A separate beach club with shady areas and deck chairs (subject to availability) also offers a good view of the water ski facility. There are many sports and leisure activities around the BernsteinSee to ensure variety: a waterski facility with a 684-meter track, an indoor go-kart track, an adventure golf facility, an archery course on a ten-hectare forest area to the north of the site, a riding stable, a soccer field, a bike rental (ONLY for house guests) and a bubble soccer rental. The beach volleyball, boules and chess courts, the outdoor table tennis table and the mini library can be used free of charge. Families will find a large pirate adventure playground with a cable car and a soccer field right on the beach. There is also a gliding airfield in the neighborhood. The my Bernsteinsee restaurant with a restaurant, terraces and bar in the beach club invites you to enjoy yourself. A covered barbecue area for groups can be rented. With the 3-star hotel, the modern beach bungalows, various holiday apartments on the site and rustic log cabins in the natural forest, there are accommodation options of various categories to choose from.
