Lotus Lake in Ninh Binh is a beautiful place, especially when the lotus blossoms are in full bloom. Many Vietnamese people come here, often in traditional costume, to take stunning photos against the backdrop of the lake. Perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the lively hustle and bustle and the magical atmosphere. Ideal for a short stroll and a few souvenir photos of your own!

The start and finish of a roughly 1.5-hour boat trip through the dry Halong Bay. Naturally overrun with tourists, but still breathtakingly beautiful.

beautiful place to visit with no entrance fee. remember to cover up as this is a sacred place. they do have a guard who provides covers if you do forget.

An elderly gentleman (a volunteer "monk"[?]), who apparently looks after the temple, is happy to give a short "concert" for the temple visitors on a Dan Bau (or monochord, a one-stringed stick zither), which is considered the most typical Vietnamese instrument and one of the most unique instruments in the world. A small donation is welcome, but not required.

The temple "down below" is nice to look at, but the real wow factor is the cave that goes with it (which also has an "altar")! You just have to climb a few steps up - it's definitely worth the effort and you shouldn't miss it! ☝🏻

13th century temple complex surrounded by mountains with courtyard and stone arches. Free entry and easy to reach via a well-maintained path from Tam Coc. No "parking fees" :)

10월 20, 2024, Serene Valley with Lotus Pond and Cave
A little way, about 15 minutes, behind the Bich Dong Pagoda we found this sleepy valley with a beautiful water lily pond, mountain goats and a cave. Right in front there is also a stall where you can buy cold drinks. The cave is locked. The man from the kiosk gives a guided tour for 30,000 dong per person.
