We rode a section on profiled racing bikes and I enjoyed it. By changing the drivable surface several times (fast, but also relaxing, or also highly concentrated to curious sections), everything was there for me that I expect from such a tour.

When you arrive at the pond, you don't see its size at all. When you walk around it you realize how big it really is. Just fantastic. We were delighted by the many swans and other waterfowl. You must have seen that.

22 fish ponds stretch along the main Spree between Lübben and Schlepzig. They are a habitat, feeding area and resting place for many water and raptor species. Binoculars and a bit of time to observe will help to discover the diversity.

With children the way is a bit monotonous. There is no highlight for the little ones on the route, which is drawn straight and straight, like a ruler, while the "big ones" can of course enjoy the wonderful landscape.

Lübben is also highly recommended for camping enthusiasts. From the small, very clean 4-star campsite with a playground, you have direct access to the tiles and can start your paddling adventure. Lübben offers a lot of variety, also for children. The Spree lagoon with a sandy beach is right next to the campsite. There the little ones and small / big ones can refresh themselves wonderfully. If you are looking for a bathing lake, you will find refreshment 30 minutes away by bike at Lake Briesensee. In the castle park in Lübben, too, the little ones can look forward to many things such as a labyrinth, sound games and a water playground. Bicycling is wonderful on the asphalt cucumber bike path starting at the Spree lagoon along the main Spree to Lübbenau or the cucumber bike path over the fish ponds to Schlepzig.
