The station is currently being rebuilt and modernized to make it accessible for people with disabilities. Some of the work has already been completed. Elevators to the platform are available. Germany's smallest station concourse is being restored. I'm already excited to see what it will look like once the work is complete.

Closed and for sale – at least that's what it says in the window. Unfortunately, there's no longer any opportunity to get a beer. There's no mention of this on the website, though.

Unfortunately, it's covered in scaffolding - as can happen with leaning towers.

Here, you can fill your own Emser water bottles for free. I only like it well chilled.

On the southeastern outskirts of Dausenau is the so-called Leaning Tower. It is part of the medieval city wall at the exit toward Nassau. After the town was granted city rights in 1348, the construction of a fortification was probably completed in 1359. Originally, the hexagonal tower, made of rubble masonry, was about 25 meters high.

At the end of the climb, the tour branches off to the left onto a forest path (loose ground). It is better to just keep going and turn left onto the country road further down, which the forest path also leads onto.
