Flamingos, geese and numerous turtles spend the winter here in the beautiful Evros Delta, right by the sea.

The information center is located in Loutra, on the other side of the main road, if you drive back out into the Evros Delta, on the main road to Alexandroupolis, diagonally opposite towards Loutra, discovered today by accident.

The wooden footbridge has been renewed so that you can hike about 2km over the footbridges through the Evros Delta. And many birds from the observation tower can best be seen with binoculars.

The bridge has been repaired, bridges and wooden walkways have been renewed in several places throughout the Evros Delta 😊

By car, the bridge is no longer passable, on foot it goes with a bit of climbing.

The delta is beautiful, but has only a few straight paths for hiking. Some bridges from the map do not exist anymore. We did not find a street signage or the information center. In the delta there are some signs, which unfortunately are not always correct. We almost did not see any birds - but it was also very dry. On the day of our hike, the whole thing was a bit disappointing.
