The view from the top is beautiful, and it's well worth observing the changing skies and light.

The Wilhelm-Eichert-Hütte enjoys a scenic location on the ridge above Weidlingbach and is a popular stop in the Eichenhain Nature Park. After the climb, you can rest in the garden or on the terrace and enjoy the view over the Vienna Woods hills and valleys. It's an ideal destination or stopover for hikers, runners, and bikers.

A nice country inn, partly self-service, but very pleasant. The game stew was very good. The coffee and chocolate cake were also good. All in all, a pleasant stay on the high wall.

Those who stop here can enjoy the impressive landscape and fortify themselves with regional specialties - the vegetarian tarte flambée is particularly praised. When the weather is nice, the outdoor tables with a direct view of the valley invite you to linger.

When the weather is good, the Hohe Wand offers a breathtaking view that extends far into the Vienna Basin. The colourful hustle and bustle of the paragliders floating silently through the air is particularly fascinating. However, some routes require appropriate equipment as they are more demanding and can become unsafe without appropriate preparation.
