At the end of the promenade there is a beautiful sandy beach, primarily used by locals.

An ideal place to stop or meet before arriving in Sitia. A great gas station for a coffee or, as in my case, a beer. This is where the locals meet to chat.

The Café Missakakis is an INSTITUTION in Eastern Crete. His loukoumades are second to none. The café is open all year round and has a large outdoor area on the promenade in summer.
