At the end of the promenade there is a beautiful sandy beach, primarily used by locals.

Sitia is a small port town and the center of sparsely populated northeastern Crete. Tourist offerings are largely limited to cafés and restaurants along the large harbor promenade, allowing the town to retain its original charm.

A Venetian castle located on a hill in the old town. From here, you can overlook the harbor and the surrounding bay. Can be visited every day except Tuesdays; admission is €5 (as of May 2025). A large promenade along the harbor basin with many cafes and restaurants. Beautiful views of Sitia Bay and the surrounding hills.

Interestingly designed small round grandstand with seating surrounded by palm trees directly on the promenade.
