This this the literal end of the road traveling on the norther end of Syros. While there is still a path it really meant for hikers and mountain bikes--not out skinny slicks. The landscape seems amazing.

While it tempting to barrel down the other side of the climb it's worth take a few moments to see how far you have come.

at the top of the mountain is St George's Cathedral. I well worth the time to see church and the Cycladic village that surrounds the Cathedral.

While Ermoupoli is capital of the Cycladic Islands it is the shipyards that make it famous. It is only one of two in Mediterranean sea that can repair large damaged ships.

This was the beginning of a fun ride with big rollers. There were a few spots that I walked up. I needed more legs or gears but probably both to get the really seep ramps done.

The ride starts in Foinikas a great little village on the south western side of Syros. There are a number of good places to stop and get a good bite to eat.
