It's a small chapel by the roadside, with a covered area to shelter your tent. There's a water source a few meters below, to the west (right next to a small orange brick hut, outside the chapel's gates; it's a well with a bucket). Bivouacking is forbidden in Greece, but there isn't much traffic in the area, and there are good hiding places.

The castle of Mycenae housed many art treasures. The palace was added 200 years after the castle. The fortress walls and the Lionheart are worth seeing. However, as with almost all ancient sites, a bit of imagination is required.

Neoclassical city palaces dominate the old town. These were built during the time when the city was the Greek capital from 1829 to 1834. There are also buildings from the Venetian and Ottoman periods.

The oldest city of Greece. The ancient theatre is sculpted on the rock.

Lovely traditional fishing town with a small protected recreational harbor overlooked by a lighthouse on the cliffs and a small open-air amphitheater for outdoor events at the end of the waterfront promenade. A somewhat narrow beach stretches south.

The coastal road leads directly along the beach - which is about 2m wide and consists of gray pebbles. Nobody would think of swimming here. And cycling is no fun either because the road is extremely busy.

As it is outside of Mycenae, it is overlooked by many visitors. impressive architectural achievement.
