Beautifully situated bay near Parga

Nectaria and Niko and amazing hosts, they immediately proposed us to pitch the tent in their garden for free. Nectaria can cook you some delicious fresh food with the organic products of her garden! It's a stop you cannot miss if you pass by the area

Café-Restaurant with super friendly owners (Nikos and Nektaria). They'll let you put your tent in the garden and have a shower if you order food. The later is all bio+homemade and just excellent. Overall really great value for money. An absolute must if you are in the area (typically following the Eurovelo 8).

Valtos Beach is one of the main beaches in Parga. Most of the areas with sunbeds belong to hotels and cost money. If you walk up the hill on the west side of the beach, you will reach a path that leads to Sarakkiniko Beach. It is very busy here in high season. Hiking is particularly beautiful in spring and autumn. From Valtos there is also a path to the village of Anthousa and to an old mill with a museum about the history of the region.

The path runs parallel to the sea and offers you not only a pleasant breeze, but also a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the quiet bay. The wide beach invites you to take short breaks - perfect for dipping your feet in the water or simply enjoying the panorama. The route is easy to ride and there are always small cafes and taverns that invite you to take a short break. It is particularly quiet here in the morning or late afternoon and the sun bathes the coast in a warm light. The combination of sea view and mountains makes this route something special and offers a great mix of relaxed cycling and enjoying nature.
