Beautiful cycle paths and great views of the newly created lake landscape. Welzow, a mining town, is also worth a visit. The local Kumpelklause has excellent food and friendly service.

With a water area of 1,330 hectares, it is the largest of 30 artificial lakes that were created as part of the recultivation of the Lusatian brown coal mining area. It is created from the former Sedlitz opencast mine.

A good starting point for a bike tour. There is a large, free parking lot directly at the harbor/district office on weekends.

A stop here is almost mandatory! No matter whether you just sit, look, have a nice meal, have an ice cream or just enjoy!

The lighthouse is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant. You should definitely reserve a table on Sunday afternoon. The sunsets are fantastic.

Absolutely beautiful tour around Lake Senftenberg, easy level of difficulty and mostly shady. Gastronomy along the way is also sufficient and good. At the "leaning tower" it's worth climbing up to 32m and a goulash cannon awaits you with a view over the lake below. There are plenty of parking spaces with toilets all around.
