A barren plateau with a chapel and a good view of the sea!

A nice place to stay after climbing Mount Olympus. Tip: Despite the cold, climb out of your sleeping bag early in the morning and experience the sunrise outside. The massif of the main ridge shines wonderfully in the morning light.

Craziness. A chapel at this altitude. There has even been a wedding here with 80 guests.

Rustic mountain hut as you know and love it. Hearty food, simple sleeping arrangements and a common room with a fireplace for chatting with other hikers. It can get very chilly up here. So don't just pack for the summer.

There are some alternative hikes in the region east of Mount Olympus. This path is part of exactly such a hike and for me even more beautiful than the path through the gorge.
