A high hedge surrounds this small sacred monument on three sides, but the fourth, facing the path, not only provides a clear view of the cross but also invites passing cyclists and bikers to come closer (especially since a bench and a rock lying nearby serve as a table for a rest). The wooden cross rises above the ivy-covered base. It does not support a body. The origins of this small sacred monument date back more than 100 years: It was erected in 1909 to commemorate what was then known as the "People's Mission." Often, it was monks who visited a parish specifically for this purpose, preaching to the people and instructing them in their faith.
