Very, very nice people there. Nice owners. The spritzer was great, we felt really welcome today and will come back 😊 Prices are completely reasonable. The food looked delicious, but we only had a drink. We'll get the food next time.

The Hirtenfels with its 630m above sea level is well integrated into a beautiful hiking tour from Dannenfels over the Adlerbogen and Ludwigsturm. From the summit of the Hirtenfels you have a wonderful view of the Palatinate.

"The Göllheimer Häuschen is one of the oldest inns in the North Palatinate. It was originally a Nassau hunting lodge, which, however, was leased to a certain Ludwig Klein at the end of the 18th century by Prince Carl Wilhelm zu Nassau as the "Inn on Göllheimer Straße". Later it was sold, but has always remained an inn." quoted from the inn's website: http://www.xn--gllheimer-huschen-0qb54a.de/ A Roman road used to run past the inn, coming from Stumpfwald via Göllheim to Worms. Reference: http://www.suehnekreuz.de/rhein/enkenbach.htm Today the inn is in Rosenthal's district (NOT part of Göllheim!) and belongs to the town of Kerzenheim in the Eisenberg association of municipalities.

The 8.8 km circular hiking trail leads through a wooded area with paved paths. The circular route is well signposted and offers a wonderful view of the Donnersberg. You have the opportunity to set up a small snack on the way at the Schreiber hut or you can walk on to the pulpit and plan a picnic there on a beautiful wooden bench with a wooden table. When you return to the starting point Schillerhain, the hike can be combined with a stop at Pizzeria Da Toni. You should definitely plan to take a break at the Kanzel lookout point. The route is of course also very nice for mountain biking.
