Despite several changes of management in recent years, they haven't found anyone here who can cook. Drinks are great and idyllic. But several attempts to eat have failed. The quality is poor and the prices are completely exorbitant. One plus point are the beers here – a great and constantly changing selection.

The hut is still there, let's go, the Palatinate food is a poem and super friendly service on the idyllic lake shore.

The Steigerweiher (also called the upper Pfrimmweiher) is one of four Pfrimmweihers. The other Pfrimmweihers are (in the direction of flow): the Krebsweiher, the Mühlenweiher (lower Pfrimmweiher) and the Hetschmühlenweiher (with campsite/vinothecary). The Steigerweiher does NOT belong to any local community, but to the "Pfrimmweihergesellschaft", an association of around 40 members that was founded more than 150 years ago to protect the mills on the Pfrimm from drought through this large water reservoir. I have no idea why the lower pond is really called the Steigerweiher. According to komoot, there is also Pfrimm 🤔

Idyllic ponds in the forest near the Pfrimmerhof.

Beautiful lake in the forest, with ice cold water, as the name suggests. You can swim here in summer, but your four-legged friends are only allowed in certain months (nature and bird sanctuary). There is also a great fish farm and gastronomy. Some circular hiking trails start from there.

The Eiswoog is a highlight at Ramsen, a field train goes there, as does the DB in summer for excursion traffic. The lake is an idyll.

Beautiful, calm and very interesting. There are also some paths that lead over the ponds. Warning mosquitoes :-D

Very good restaurant (also hotel), without a reservation you often don't have a chance! Inside you usually sit very nicely, but the (completely covered) terrace offers the best view! The fish comes from the affiliated fish farm, it couldn't be fresher.
