In this refuge you can find shelter when it rains or take a break on the benches in front of the refuge. In front of the refuge you will also find the beautiful Pfaffenbrunnen fountain.

The Brunnenwanderweg near Kaiserslautern is up to 16 km long. There are nine wells on this path.

These numerous ponds are either leased by the Enkenbach fishing club or belong to the sport fishermen Kaiserslautern or the local community of Enkenbach. They were laid out in 1809 by the industrialist Baron von Gienanth. At that time, the water power of the Alsenz still played a very important role.
