The Märzenbechertal (Snowflake Valley) lies southwest of the village of Landgrafroda in the Ziegelroda Forest. It is a narrow valley whose slopes are covered with beech and oak trees. Here, the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum), also known as the snowflake, has become widespread and, during its flowering season between late February and early April, creates a unique spectacle. A carpet of millions of white blossoms of this protected plant attracts numerous visitors from near and far to the Märzenbechertal every year. A beautiful park with many large, old trees. The open-air stage needs some renovation (there's still some time until the big anniversary).

Here there are plants that are removed in other gardens as weeds or nuisances.

What began so inconspicuously was once something very special. Unfortunately, Artern never made it to the major saltwater spa (like Bad Kösen and Bad Dürrenberg).

A nice resting place (there are many benches here) with a view of Frankenhausen and the Kyffhäuser.

This avenue is simply beautiful 😊

Doesn't take much time if you're in Artern, but you can't always get in, but it's definitely suitable for a rest.
