Beautiful mostly narrow path. At times you feel like you are in the jungle.

It is smaller than the upper bear cave. But the shower is an absolute eye-catcher.

Through the natural monument Elendsklamm and the beginning of the Sickinger Höhe with the pigeon head on the German premium hiking trail. Impressive gorge with a “primeval forest”, which is a unique habitat for rare animal and plant species. The path along the gorge is well developed and secured with railings, bridges and steps. When inspecting in late autumn and winter, make sure that you have weather-appropriate equipment. In midsummer the gorge offers a welcome cool hiking trail.

A really great, varied hiking trail: the red sandstone towers of the Rodalber brother rocks - followed by the moss-green covered sandstone rocks to the bear cave, where a trickle emerges from the cave. Tip: There are two caves that are directly one below the other.

The upper and lower bear caves are particularly interesting for children. You can even refresh your feet in the stream. There is a lot to know about the cave on an information board. The Karl May rock and the brother rock directly in Rodalben are also extremely worth seeing. There is also a bench there to take a rest and enjoy the view.
