The Castle Linden Tree: A large-leaved linden tree approximately 450 to 500 years old. Its trunk is hollow, held together at a height of about three meters by steel cables. The trunk, which measures over 9 meters in circumference, supports three thick main branches. A plaque screwed to the tree provides further information: According to tradition, the linden tree was planted to commemorate the siege of Farnsburg Castle before the Battle of St. Jakob an der Birs (1444). Its age is uncertain, but dendrochronological analyses have revealed an age of approximately 500 years.

Below the dirt road on the edge of the Staufen forest, not far from the Waldegg convalescent home, is the so-called "Poland Monument" with the inscription: POLACY - SZWAJCAROM (Poland - Switzerland) After the defeat of the Polish army by the German Wehrmacht in autumn 1939, a large part of the Polish armed forces found their way to France via winding paths, where they regrouped as part of the Allies. During the German attack on France in 1940, Polish units were driven off towards the Swiss border and fled to Switzerland, where they were disarmed and interned in various camps throughout Switzerland. One of these camps was at the site of the monument. The interned Poles were used in agriculture for the Plan Wahlen (cultivation battle) or did construction work. In Rickenbach they built the stairs over the "Hüenersädel" in the direction of Rickenbacherfluh. The memorial itself was donated by former camp inmates after the Second World War and stands for Swiss-Polish friendship.
