Located in the heart of the Pyrmont Forest, the Sennhütte with its monument to Emperor Frederick III is a lovely, stylish place to stop for a bite to eat.

The robust and very large shelter is perfect for a weatherproof break. The dive tower is nearby.

Admittedly, I haven't stopped here yet, but the rustic hut with the thick brickwork makes a cozy impression. Outside in the beer garden there are some wooden seating areas. A very neat place.

The hut is quite high up and can only be reached by hikers and mountain bikers. Perhaps that is the reason for the good condition of the hut.

Went there again today, first marveled at the March mugs on the Schweineberg and then had lunch here.

Nestled in the beautiful Pyrmont forest, the Sennhütte is located at 1100 feet above sea level. The Sennhütte can be easily reached by car if you drive along the border path. On foot, you can reach the destination via a well-signposted network of hiking trails. Mountain and e-bike riders have also discovered the Sennhütte and use the many forest paths to get there. In the beautiful summer months, life takes place in the lovingly landscaped outdoor area.
