And people who are afraid that the steps will break. The steps are very old but still hold up. But the view at the top makes up for that.

A beautiful view of the valley with the town of Salzdetfurth, unfortunately the trees around are now so high that you can't see far down. Be careful when climbing the tower on ice or snow, the steps are made of iron and are slippery. Cell phone reception is very good up there, you can look directly at the antennas.

Really steep climbs that you can concentrate on. Almost no traffic. The road is not in the best condition, though, which is less of a problem going up than going down. Good braking power is an advantage.

In the course of the route there are incline ramps with values of around 12-14%. Unfortunately, the forest and asphalt have suffered quite a bit. Especially in the upper third, the forest is pretty bare and the asphalt is riddled with cracks and holes. Be careful on the descent!
