The ascent to the tower is steep. Nevertheless, you should also take the ascent with you. The view is limited, but with good visibility you can see far to the west. Don't forget binoculars.

At 480 m, the Mere Cell is the highest elevation in the Hils and Alfelder Bergland (Ith-Hils-Bergland). It lies on the border between the districts of Holzminden and Hildesheim, a good 4 km north-east of Eschershausen. With a dominance of 18 km and a prominence of about 235 m, Hils and Blöße are among the most sublime ridges and peaks in the Lower Saxony highlands. We think that the mountain "Bare Cell" is the highest point in the Hils. The long-distance hiking trail "Netherlands-Harz-Weg E11" leads past here.
