The pass appears unspectacular, but those who take the time for a short break can admire the southern Jura mountain ranges and the gentle hills to the north through the hedge.

There are better places to admire the Birs: It's always quite busy and there's heavy traffic here. Therefore, I recommend: Take a look as you drive by and move on.

In Laufen, in the old town, there's a superb bakery with delicious things. Cozy and delicious.

There's a paved bike path next to the tram tracks. It's a bit more relaxed than the main road between Aesch and Reinach.

Paths in good condition. A great alternative to the main road.

An absolute highlight that the Jura has to offer. A magnificent route!

The route between Moutier and Delémont is a beautiful route, with mainly decent asphalted surface but there are some places near the industrial areas where the asphalt is a bit rough but overall good a surface. Geological speaking it offers a lot of unusual rock formations creating nice backgrounds for photos. The route and following the River Birse which flows all the way to Basel.

This small bridge takes you over the Birs and into the Val Terbi.
