The Belchenhaus was built in 1898 as a shelter below the Belchen summit. It is located at 1,360 meters and is therefore the highest inn and restaurant in Baden-Württemberg. I was born about 500m distance from here. You can be enchanted by this place. The view over the fertile Rhine plain to France in the Vosges, to the striking Belchen and to the Sirnitzkopf is a pleasure. The alpine restaurant has been run by local tenants since it was founded and offers Black Forest fare. It can be windy on the outside terrace, but great views.
