The bridge connects the Johannesberg district and the city center.

The so-called Rothenkirchen Death Bridge—over the Haune River—is one of the oldest stone bridges in the Fulda region. It takes its name from the ancient times when the dead from Rothenkirchen were brought across it to the cemetery on the other side, where St. Mark's Chapel is located. Directly next to the bridge is a small rest area with benches and a table, as well as a small plaque describing the history.

Right of the tour

Konrad Zuse is associated with Hünfeld and Bad Hersfeld. But even here, he left his mark through the early production facility. An information plaque commemorates this.

On the Kirchberg hill are the ruins of the Chapel of St. Cruces, dating back to 1185. Until 1904, the people of Unterhaun were buried in the old cemetery there. The Unterhaun Baroque church was built between 1736 and 1738 and was most recently renovated from 2001 to 2003.

The barbecue area in front of Steinbach offers many highlights. One of them is the outdoor skittles game. Have fun trying it out
