Small hydroelectric power station built between 1923 and 1925. It has a machine house, a transformer house and an intermediate building. There is also a residential building for the machine operators. All of the technology was dismantled in 1946, put back into operation in 1953, the plant was renovated in 1992 and the technical equipment was renewed in 1994.

From the vantage point above the Kriebenthal walls, the view of Kriebstein Castle is fantastic. The castle was built in the 14th century and is now often used as a filming location for movies. It can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, and admission costs eight euros.

After the old town hall was demolished, which had become too small, the new building, built in Art Nouveau style, was opened in 1902. It was intended to symbolize Waldheim's economic boom at the turn of the century. The facade, which is artistically impressively designed with Rochlitz porphyry, and its decorative elements point to the town of Waldheim's origins as a forest settlement. In the crownings and frames, reveals and spandrels, gnarled branches and delicate twigs, intertwined roots and tendrils, oak shoots and pine cones appear. The sundial should also be mentioned here. But the town hall is also a gem inside. You enter the entrance hall with its leaded windows through the magnificent entrance portal. Really beautiful fountain and market square with a view of the church. It's a shame that Hartha seems deserted. There is no place to stop for a bite to eat :(
